The Ulaanbaatar Securities Exchange is the second stock exchange in Mongolia that received a special license for trading and settlement operations in the stock market of Mongolia in 2015 from the Financial Regulatory Commission.

"Ulaanbaatar Securities Exchange" (UBX) was established on May 1, 2015. UBX has acquired trading and clearing licenses from Financial Regulatory Commission in the same year. In 2017, the first listed company offered its shares to the general public, but also during 2018-2021, bonds are traded successfully.

As of the first half of 2021, the Exchange conducted a total of 857 transaction and traded shares and bonds worth 2,319,610,430 MNT.

As of the first half of 2021, the Exchange has 17 member securities companies, 5 clearing members, and 2 market makers. Out of five clearing members of the Exchange, two general members are responsible for payment and settlement activities of their contracted securities companies and the Exchanges trading members. In the future, the Exchange will introduce products and services that has met international securities market standards to become the leading digital securities exchange in Mongolia. UBX's vision is to make Ulaanbaatar and Mongolia, the regional financial and capital market center.

About our Business

The Ulaanbaatar Securities Exchange provides securities market participants with the opportunity to trade shares, bonds, and mutual fund units and trade derivative financial instruments such as short-term securities, futures, and options. UBX is a flexible exchange platform for trading and calculating these products. In addition, brokerage companies can directly connect their trading systems to this platform, allowing clients to place orders through the securities company's app.

As an infrastructure organization, the Exchange operates in accordance with the procedures for registration, trading, clearing, membership, and fees approved by the Financial Regulatory Commission.

We work with companies, professional investment funds, and investment banks interested in attracting investment from the securities market to expand their business and increase their competitiveness. At the same time, introducing to investors the products and developments that are more profitable than banks’ savings are essential for developing the securities market.
